ABOUT YOUR FRIENDLY FRYE PHOTOGRAPHER

Annie France Noël is an artist, photographer, and cultural worker. Her practice explores the intimacy and vulnerability of the human experience through photographic and interdisciplinary approaches.

Annie France is recognized for her artistic work, which has earned her several notable recognitions. She has been a finalist for the New Generation Photography Award three times and won the bronze medal for photography at the VIII Jeux de la Francophonie in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. She also collaborates regularly with cultural organizations such as the Frye Festival and Acadie Rock, as well as with leading figures on the Acadian cultural scene, to bring their visual identity to life.

2025 marks the fourth year of her involvement with the Frye Festival as photographer. You’ll see her and her associate, Jacques, lurk in the shadows at every event to document the effervescence and magic of this legendary festival! Annie will also open her portrait studio to capture your lovely faces with the care she is known for.

My studio is located on the third floor of the Aberdeen Cultural Centre — just a few steps from one of the festival's main venues.

Caring is at the heart of my approach. I aim to create a gentle and friendly experience, recognizing the vulnerability needed to let yourself be seen through the lens.

Don’t overthink it: wear something you’re comfortable in. Avoid logos and make sure it’s wrinkle-free and clean. In case of doubt, a dark, simple shirt always looks good.

Before hopping in, we’ll take a few minutes to get acquainted over tea or coffee! Portrait work is relational and collaborative: let’s connect (even if quickly)!

I will guide you and help you with simple posing. I got you and will do my absolute best to get you as comfortable as possible.
